My husband and I are big cat lovers. One day a neighbor brought us a cat that looked like a malnourished Ocelot. The cat was big and tall but very skeletal. He was have wild he was so starved. We were told that the cat was won in a Poker game and the person that lost claimed it was at least half Ocelot. The person that won the cat had lost their home and their job and had locked this cat and two others in a storage shed with a Pit bull. We took the cat in and named it Puma. He had 6 toes on every foot and when he walked he looked like he was wearing flippers. He got along great with my Rhodesian Ridgebacks and really kept them in line. When it came time to create a Kennel name I combined his name with the fact that Ridgebacks are known for their ridges. And Pumaridge was born. Unfortunately, in 2013 Puma was stolen by someone that also thought he was amazing and we never saw him again. That was a very sad day for my whole family.
We are Tim and Tina Slayton we are located in Riverside County of Southern California. **In October 2017 we will be moving to Kingman AZ. in Northern AZ and will continue to breed. Kingman AZ is located 1 hr 40mins from Las Vegas NV, 6 hrs from San Diego Ca, 5hrs 25mins from Los Angeles Ca, and 5hrs 11mins from Bakersfield Ca. We will be meeting people at the Las Vegas airports as needed for pickups for an additional gas fee.
Tina has had animals all her life! Growing up there was always animals. Dogs, Cats, Birds, Chinchillas, Raccoons, Hamsters, Snakes, Squirrels. You Name It! Tina was always nursing stray cats and dogs back to health.
Tina worked as a nurse for years then became ill and had to quit working outside the home. It was through her research into Holistic Alternatives that she realized she could bring better health to our cats and dogs as well our family.
Growing up in New York City Tim always had cats as they were easier to keep than dogs. When we got together he liked to joke that he just came with a cat. When we blended our families he brought his cat and I brought my dogs and cats. So we live in Harmony with our Russian Siberians and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Together we are Pumaridge Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Pumaridge Siberians.
