Cat Litter, Oh my Gosh so many kinds
2 weeks Before bringing your kitten home buy your cat litter and open the bag, pour it in the Litter box and live with it a few days. Run your hand thru it. You are making sure that you are not having a reaction to the litter but thinking that its the cat!
Get a Cat litter that is 99.9% Dust free. PERFUME FREE AND FRAGRANCE FREE. I have tried tons of different brands and I believe that as long as it is dust free you have to go with what you can tolerate personally. **Some people including me are actually allergic to cat litter NOT cats. We now use Dr. Elsey's Ultra in the Blue and White bag.

Don't forget the litter box & the scooper
I have discovered that even the largest size litter box just isn't big enough for a Siberian cat. So I have gotten some Clear Sterilite 58qt. size bins to use as Litter boxes. They are deeper and wider making it so much nicer and I don't have to worry about Potty accidents outside the box or on the wall next to the box. They are at Walmart. Best of all cheaper than most standard litter boxes. Never use a covered litter box!!!
