How much do your Siberians cost?
Our kittens are $2,200 no matter what color or sex. *We have tried for years to keep our prices as low as possible but under the current administration prices have sky rocketed and we finally had to raise prices to cover the increase in expenses.
Our Retirees depend on their age at retirement.
Ages 1-4 years old are $1,200
Ages 4-6 years old are $900

Do you ship your cats?
No; we do not ship our cats as that is highly stressful for them and I do not want them treated as Cargo. If you are unable to come to my home for pickup I can meet you in Needles CA. or Las Vegas for a $50 Gas fee.
I do not sell Internationally as it is a huge headache

What is your adoption criteria?
We do *not* approve every home. In situations where it is clear that a kitten purchase would not be successful for you, we explain why.
We place each kitten intending the home is permanent (not “try it and see”). My sole goal is to find excellent homes for my kittens the 1st time around. My main criteria for adoptions is children must be over 5 years old UNLESS there is some sort of prior supervised cat experience with the child such as at grandparents house or friends houses. I only adopt out to experienced cat people. *This means the adult in the home has cat experience and understands kitty quirks. In part this is because Siberians are super active and can be very mischievous cats. People with no cat experience may find them to be too much to handle. I don't take people that have cat allergy induced Asthma. This is due to no longer having my cat that was super low allergen for those types of issues.
Buyer must be vetted, Contract signed, and deposit received before a reservation is confirmed.

How do I know you are a reputable breeder and not a scam?
Unfortunately there are so many scammers out there right now. It is really sad that people are spending so much time trying to cheat people instead of getting a real job and doing the right thing.
#1 I have name recognition behind my cattery PLUS many repeat clients.
#2 I am referred by many other reputable breeders.
#3 Pumaridge was spotlighted on Reddit by past clients as being a reputable breeder. I have also been interviewed by Siberian Cat World.
#4 I am a big believer that knowledge is power and I encourage prospective clients to watch for scammers and tell them to always use Google Image search to check if a picture they have seen on a website has been used elsewhere on the internet before. Make sure you have the breeder use Facetime so that you are able to see the kitten in real time because images and video's can be stolen. If you don't buy from me that's fine just make sure you aren't getting scammed.

How old are the kittens when they go home?
Kittens go home at 12 weeks old. If a kitten still needs more (Mom Time) then they stay until I am satisfied that they are ready and eating on their own with no encouragement and are litter box trained. They go to my vet for a checkup and sent home with the 1st (two) FVRCP vaccines and de-wormed.
Scheduled Pickups: Cat/kitten must be picked up on the agreed date. If you are not available to pickup your kitten when it is ready to go home please let me know WAY before hand. If you extend that pick up date then a $10.00 a day boarding fee will be charged to your balance for each day not picked up (Unless the delay is due to flight arrangements). If I extend that pick up then there is no charge to you. **I will not let your kitten leave if I feel they are not ready in any way.

how do i get on your wait list?
As of 4/17/2024
I still have 10 people on my old wait list. We will no longer have a wait list after those people have made their selections. The Wait list was getting out of hand with Year long wait times. That ended up tying people to my wait list thru their deposit. With this new way of doing things clients will not have that prolonged wait. I will be posting kitten pictures at 9-10 weeks old on my Website and my Pumaridge Siberians Facebook page and accepting applications at that time for those specific kittens ONLY.
IF YOU "LIKE" & "FOLLOW" our Facebook page you will be notified as soon as I post those kittens instead of you having to check my website as often.

do you give any discounts?
We believe that our Military service men and women deserve to get acknowledged for their service so we offer a $50 discount. CURRENT Military ID needs to be shown for discount to apply. We give a $100 discount for a 2nd Pumaridge kitten. No matter when purchased. *Discount not to exceed $100. These discounts can not be combined.
I have asthma. Would a siberian cat be right for me?
The fel d 1 protein in a cats saliva which is then deposited onto their coat is what causes the allergic reaction in people. Siberians have LOW Fel d 1 proteins in their Saliva. Meaning they are low allergen NOT non-allergen. We place each kitten intending the home is permanent (not “try it and see”). If you have Asthma or suspect that your allergies to cats are really bad you need to go to an allergist to get tested to see if the Allergist believes a Siberian would be an option for you. There are also Catteries that do Saliva testing on their kittens. I however do not do this testing. You can check this LINK for a list of those catteries.

visiting the cattery
Can I come visit your cattery?
One of the ways in which we maintain a safe, clean cattery is by limiting interaction. The kittens immune systems are not fully developed yet, and Immunizations have not yet been completed. So for these reasons we limit visitations to Go Home Day only. A kitten needs 3 Core Vaccines at 8-12-and 16 weeks old plus a 1 year booster.
Visitations are limited to Go Home day when the kittens are 12 weeks old and have been vaccinated twice.
We know how exciting it is to wait for your Pumaridge kitten. We do provide all our kitten clients with regular updates and pictures along with videos and FACETIME of your reserved kitten. We believe in full transparency.

I would like to allergy test with a pumaridge kitten.
How do i do that?
How do i do that?
One of the ways in which we maintain a safe, healthy cattery is by limiting interaction. Allergy testing is limited to 1 hour on Go Home Day. My preferred method of testing in order of preference is after we know we have a kitten for you we can:
A. Test for allergies in your vehicle before the kittens are ready to go home or on Go Home Day
B. I can send you a fur sample from the potential father (this test is for future litters)
C. My least favorable method is you purchase the kitten knowing you can return the kitten within 4 days (as long as it has been kept isolated from other animals) for a full refund minus a $100.00 processing fee. We place each kitten intending the home is permanent (not “try it and see”). This should not be taken lightly. We are trying to be flexible yet realistic.

I WANT TO PICK OUT MY KITTEN IN PERSON, DO YOU ALLOW THIS?
The health of our cats and keeping germs and viruses out of our cattery is of utmost importance to us. People willing to pick by pictures, videos or FACETIME get to pick first. Those that want to pick in person get to pick from the remaining kittens on a specific day and time on a first come first serve basis. No children under 5 years of age allowed in the kitten room.
HOW DOES YOUR PICKING PROCESS WORK?
When the kittens turn 9 weeks old, pictures are taken and posted to the website and my Facebook page. When you have been vetted and accepted I will request a $300 deposit ($600 deposit for 2 kittens) that will go towards the balance of your Pumaridge kitten. That will reserve that kitten for you. A kitten is not considered reserved until the deposit has been received/cleared and the contract signed. Once the kitten is reserved for you I will post your name next to that kitten and arrangements will then be made for pickup when the kitten is ready to go home.
Our cattery reserves first pick for our breeding program.
*If something unforeseen should happen to the kitten you have on reserve, your deposit money will be refunded IN FULL or you can transfer your deposit to the next available litter.

Health / Health guarantee info
what is and is NOT covered in your health guarantee?
Our Sires and Dams are extensively health tested and genetically screened in order to ensure the health of our kittens.
What is COVERED:
We offer a 2 year genetic health guarantee for HCM on our kittens.
Also a 1 year health guarantee for FIP.
What is NOT COVERED:
Fleas
Internal Parasites (including single cell and amoebic).
We are blessed in our area not to have Fleas. We have a Pesticide company come and spray inside and outside monthly with an animal friendly product. We also take preventative steps for internal parasites, but given how pervasive they are they are excluded.
*I do highly recommend that at your (3 business day) 1st vet visit you have a IN HOUSE fecal test done to check for these things. I have you do this on YOUR end because changing environments can be very stressful to kittens and the parasite Coccidia can pop AFTER the kitten goes to its new environment.

Can I have my cat De-clawed?
Per our contact, our kittens/cats are not allowed to be declawed. Besides being inhumane, it can set up a kitten or cat for manic and hostile behavior as well as extreme undue stress which could lead to the disease of FIP. As such, our contract does not permit declawing. Declawing of one of our kittens will void the contract.
what is your spay/neuter policy?
Our kittens are sold under a STRICT spay/neuter contract requiring them to be altered between 6~1/2 and 7 months old. This is for health reasons. I as a retired nurse work closely with a retired Anesthesiologist who also breeds Siberians. We have done years of extensive research in this matter and feel that kittens under the age of 6~1/2 months old are not equipped to deal with the STRESS of an elective surgery and do not have their immune systems built up enough to handle a infection should one occur. In order for me to SAFELY do the spay/neuter on my end that means waiting till the kitten is over 6 months old to send it to its new home. Going to a Spay/Neuter Clinic is the cheapest way to get your kitten fixed. This is what they do all day long so they are good at it. I have a partial list of Vets and Spay Clinics HERE that clients have told me they like.
should i get health insurance for my kitten?
I highly recommend that all my kitten parents get full health insurance on their Purebred kitten. Accidents happen with rambunctious kittens who just like human Toddlers get into things that they shouldn't and illnesses can happen as well. One emergency vet visit alone can run into the thousands. Insure your kitten from day 1 before there is ever any issues because Pet Insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions. So far I am really liking Trupanion and Pumpkin Insurance. Insurance is also beneficial for any dental work that may be needed over time. If buying Insurance is not your thing you can set up a direct deposit from your pay check into a savings account strictly for your cats vet needs. I have friends that do this last one.
What do I need to do before bringing a new kitten into my home when I already have a cat in my home?
It is Cattery Policy not to adopt out one of our kittens to a home with other cats that have not been tested for feline diseases such as FeLV and FIV, vaccinated and up to date on vaccinations. Get this done ASAP! ** A kitten, even though thoroughly vaccinated, has a weaker immune system than a adult cat. We do not want to put any of our kittens in harms way by adopting it into a home that has UN-vaccinated or out of date vaccinated pets or has had cats that are positive for FeLV. If this cat/kitten is going into a multi-pet household Pumaridge Siberians Cattery will not be responsible for any illness or vet bills that occur due to the exposure between the cat/kitten and the Purchasers other pets. Kittens should be quarantined away from Purchasers other pets for 2 weeks.
