Therapy & Emotional Support Cats

I have found the Siberian cats to be an excellent Therapy and Emotional support pet. I have placed many of these amazing cats into homes for people with Autism, Depression, and Anxiety. The difference between using a cat VS a dog is that this particular breed is very dog-like. However it does not have the erratic movements and jumping activity that a dog portrays. These guys will come greet you when you come home and help you to self-soothe during a meltdown. My grand-daughter who has mild Autism found her Siberian to be excellent at helping her to self soothe during meltdowns.
NOTE: Although I find the Siberian to be excellent with children I feel that the child needs to be at least 5 years old before they understand the concept that kittens have claws that WILL scratch accidentally and also how to treat the animal kindly and still give it it's space. So I will not place kittens in homes with special needs children under 5.
